Remake American Dream
Nestled in the bluff country of La Crosse county is a woman living out the dream of buying an untamed mustang to train. Paige picked up Nyx just 6 short months ago and you would never guess she was living in the wild for the last 6 years. After losing her two heart horses way too soon, Paige decided the time was right to get her first mustang. She saw Nyx on the BLM auction site and instantly fell in love. It was a battle to the end to own her with only a few seconds to spare on the final bid and Paige was able to come home with this gorgeous buckskin.
Nyx was rounded up in 2023 from the Fox Hog HMA in California by helicopter. Which, by the way, this was also the first time we tried out our drone in a session, so I think you can see where our thought was going with her reaction but, she had zero worries and handled it beautifully. Not even a full week later, tag 7717 became Remake American Dream. A name paid in homage to a horse in Paige's life that came before her named American Makeover. Nyx's show name you can see on her stunning Horse Education Halter!
Paige and Nyx will be traveling to Las Vegas NV in July for the Mustang Challenge and I cannot wait to cheer them on from back home!! It was great to meet both of them and to be able to work with them on such a beautiful day!
